Our “Murphy Bed” was the original wall bed product that we started with 25 years ago. The overall concept here is similar to our economical Dane Bed, but with a few more of the masterful woodworking details Hardwood Artisans does so well. This cabinet comes with a choice of doors and a nice solid wood headboard with a useful 5" shelf -- good for the book you are reading, a clock radio, a telephone and a box of tissues.

We use a slightly different bed frame on our Murphy Bed which results in the mattress sitting a little higher off the floor. Also, when the bed is down, there is no gap between the mattress and the headboard. As with all of our wall beds, this cabinet comes with built-in reading lights. This bed mechanism does not require floor mounting; it has its own subfloor system.
